We’re not a law firm, and we don’t draft estate documents. What we do is make sure your financial accounts, beneficiary designations, and investment structure are fully aligned with whatever your estate attorney puts in place. That coordination is where most plans break down, and it’s where we work.
Artisan Capital Management does not provide legal services and is not a law firm. Estate planning documents are prepared by and executed with a qualified estate attorney. Our role is to serve as your financial coordination partner, helping ensure your estate plan is fully integrated with your broader financial picture, and that nothing falls through the cracks between your legal documents and your financial accounts.
A complete picture means looking at all of it together:
Most people are surprised by what turns up. Outdated beneficiaries. Accounts that will bypass the trust entirely. Assets that pass in ways that contradict the will. We find those gaps before they become problems.
For families transferring significant wealth, tax efficiency matters. Gifting strategies, irrevocable trusts, and other approaches can meaningfully reduce what transfers to taxes instead of the people you intended. But the mechanics only work if your financial accounts are structured to support them.
We work closely with your estate attorney to make sure the financial side of the plan does what the legal side intends. When those two things aren’t aligned, the plan doesn’t hold.
Facilitating clarity around inheritance plans, before they become necessary, reduces conflict and preserves relationships. We can help structure those conversations and make sure everyone understands what is intended and why.
A financial plan written once and never revisited is not a plan. It is a document. Life changes: income grows, families expand, laws shift, markets move. Your plan needs to adapt to all of it. We meet with clients regularly to review what has changed and update the plan accordingly. The goal is to always be ahead of what is coming rather than reacting to what already happened.
